As a professional baby, children’s and family photographer in Blackheath, it always gives me great pleasure to photograph expecting mums. The pregnant body is such a beautiful thing. Even after two of my own children I still find it a miracle that should be celebrated everyday!
The quote on my about me page comes to mind… “the days are long but (in this case) the months are short”. Before you know it your little bundle of joy is in your arms and you’re wondering what was so bad about being pregnant. Or not!
I’m delighted to share these wonderful happy images with you, from a recent session with journalist Lisa Francesca Nand. I’ve photographed Lisa a few times now and have been able to watch her family grow. The first time was when she was pregnant with her first son, a beautiful early evening summer shoot in Greenwich Park, then a newborn shoot when he arrived. Another shoot followed when her little man was about a year old and then this one… a maternity shoot and pre-school shoot combine. It makes for the most wonderful images, don’t you think?
