Golden Wedding Anniversary Portrait Session
Italian born Londoner Silvia booked a session with me back in January. Her parents and sister Paola were visiting from Italy and Silvia wanted to capture some photographs of them. It’s her parents Carlo and Laura’s Golden Wedding anniversary soon and she wanted to present them with a really special portrait. Along with that they thought it would be nice to have some more relaxed shots of them having a stroll through their favourite London Park.
I was more than happy to meet them for a photography session, despite the fact I speak no Italian! Turns out language is no barrier when you have a decent sense of humour and are open to having a bit of fun! These guys definitely had the right attitude. They were not fazed by my random requests, and they even danced a stunning waltz for me in the middle of the park. It was truly magical.
My absolute favourites are Carlo and his daughter Paola dancing and the ‘special’ portrait, which you can see at the end of this blog post. It’s not my usual style but just perfect for a golden wedding anniversary present. I’d delighted to present my favourites from the shoot and I hope you’ll leave a comment of congratulations for the happily married couple below.
If you’d like to book a session like this, do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
This lovely family session happened back in October! Where is the time going?
Colin booked this session with me as he and his family were travelling to London. He came from Chicago, his parents came from Cleveland and his sister and her family travelled from Melbourne. It was first time Grandma met her Aussie born grand-daughter and the first time the cousins met too.
I met them at their rented accommodation in Waterloo, so we walked over to the Southbank and took in the sights around there, then we hopped on the tube and went to Regents Park for the last few shots.
I loved spending time with these guys, they were so much fun. Here’s some of my favourites from the session.
Hyde Park Corner Photography Session
A Spanish family in London, in an apartment that oozed the most beautiful natural light. Across the road from Hyde Park, the perfect location for nipping out and grabbing the last rays of sunshine. Make me feel all warm inside looking back at these!

I had competition!
I love this natural moment between mama and daughter. The little face poking in though… I could just squide his cheeks all day!
2016 was an epic year. I’ve created a video of my favourite images from the last 12 months, grab a cuppa and have a watch of the video or if you’d prefer you can scroll through them at your own pace below. Leave a comment below or share this page with your friends
Cheers and I look forward to see you in 2017!
TWENTY SIXTEEN in RETROSPECT
Kicking off the year with a family session in Dulwich, no room is left out when it comes to shooting in your home. As the kitchen is the central hub to most homes it’s only right we take some shots in there too.

Maternity session in February
Freja turned 1 on the day of her second portrait session with me. This birthday photo session started off outdoors but it was freezing so we took shelter in The Maritime Museum. I got down on the floor with her and grabbed this shot as she flew over to me on her hands and knees.
Greenwich in March
When you tun up to a photo session and both parents are musicians, I couldn’t leave without hearing a tune…
We took a stroll soon after the spontaneous family gig and this happened. I love the movement and textures in this shot
Limehouse family photo session back in March
Easily, one of my all time favourite shots, not just from the past year. The intimate connection here only happens when everyone lets go, forgets why they’re there and just embraces the moment. The squishy baby face, the protective arm, the tender kiss, the doting look. I can’t ask for anything more in a family photo.

My clients embrace non-traditional family portraits and I thank them for that, from the bottom of my heart

Texan Family Holiday Photos – London Photographer
Casey, Stacey and their children made the most of the Thanksgiving school holidays and flew over to London. They crammed the week full of activities, shows and learning about this great city. While they were here they wanted to get a shot for their Christmas card so they invited me along for a few hours of their time with a city guide and driver. Well on the first full day of exploring everything London has to offer, these guys were spoilt with a truly authentic British weather experience. Wind, rain, cold a little bit of sunshine but mostly grey skies.
Coming from Texas it was a bit of a shock to the system but they were troopers! Their guide and driver made them feel as comfortable and entertained as possible as we made lots of stops around the city, hopping in and out of the car with umbrellas, jumping over puddles, umbrella’s turning inside out, getting splashed by cars passing by… it was more excitement than anyone could ask for!
We got some great photos for their Christmas card, I’ve shared my favourites from their gallery below.
If you’d like to have me to take some holiday photos of your family, get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!
