Shannon and Nikki had the most amazing fairytale wedding in Ljubljana Castle, Slovenia. It was a ridiculous honour to be able to capture their day, from start to finish. A relaxed, emotional and bloody hilarious day with perfect weather and tons of happy faces. These girls have been together since forever, they’ve travelled the world, built a home and have a cat  baby called Smokey that allows them to feed and water him.

On the morning of the wedding, I arrived to their apartment where both girls were getting ready together. It was lovely and chilled whilst they took turns having their make up done by the talented Hannah Olive
The excitement started to built when the dresses went on and both girl’s Dads arrived for the reveal. A few quick shots with the men in their lives and then the short walk to the ceremony, which took place in a room in the ancient castle itself.

After the ceremony the happy couple walked through a flurry of bubbles, blown by the guests. The drinks and nibbles in the courtyard just below, were a welcome addition to the sun setting. It was pretty perfect. Myself and girls took a few minutes to explore the castle and take in the views. Obviously there were plenty of tourists to congratulate the girls and give them well wishes… they also moved out of our way for photos which never happens atop of a castle unless it’s your wedding day!

We took on the task of big group shot whilst up there which was super fun!

After the copious amounts of food and wine the speeches happened. There were tears and laughter and lots of cheers! There was music and singing and CAKE! It was incredibly special and here are the photos to prove it… enjoy!
