MY ETHOS
As a London Christening Photographer I’m moved by every service I’ve attended. They tend to bring out all the emotions, as much as a wedding does in my experience. It’s such a priviledge to be trusted to cover these very special occasions for my clients. I’ve photographed many services and my main goal with each one is to ensure you have a record of the small moments and the bigger ones, whilst being respectful to the reason for the day itself by shooting as unobtrusively as possible.
I shoot with the intention of being an honest storyteller, that means pressing the shutter when hearts and faces are full of joy and also when eyes are full of tears.
MEET ANDREA
Hello! I’m Andrea, a professional family photographer based in Greenwich, South East London. My abiding memories of growing up were leafing through stacks of old family photo albums – memories and personalities frozen in time. It gave me a nice feeling and that’s something I haven’t lost. I want other people to experience it when they look at their photos. I want to capture your story, with you in it! So you, your children and your relatives can share in it too.
I’ve photographed hundreds of families since I started my business back in 2011, I’ve captured a whole range of important family moments, from amazing home-births to raucous 70th Birthday parties and everything big and small in between.

01 – SECURE YOUR DATE
So you’ve had a look around and you know I’m the photographer for you. You’ve got a good feel for how I work and are excited to start planning.
You’ve seen my London Christening Photography portfolio, recent sessions around the city and would like to capture your child’s special day. The next step might be to familiarise yourself with the pricing structure (below) it’s super easy, there’s a session fee (this secures your date) and then there’s the image collection fee. This can be chosen upfront or after your session. If you chose upfront you get the session free, how about that!

02 – PLANNING YOUR EVENT
Once we established if I’m free to shoot your London Christening, I’ll open your online client portal where you’ll complete your booking form, this helps me to get to know you and your family a bit better and understand more about your baby’s unique day.
It’s a really good idea to check with your vicar, priest or officient if they allow photogrpahy during the service. I shoot using only available light and a an unobtriusive style throughout the ceremony.
Similar to weddings you may want to make time for formal portraits before or after you ceremony.
03 – ON THE DAY
Whether you are having a Christian, Orthodox, Humanist or any other ceremony it will be unique to you and your family. In each case I’ll be guided by and observe any photography rules set in place by the officient. It’s a big day for your little one, with all the attention on them it can sometimes, unsurprisingly be over stimulating. They might sleep throughout, they might get upset by the change of enviroment or they could be in their element. Whatever happens I’ll be there to capture the touching moments, of which there will be more than you can imagine.
Continuing that ethos into the reception coverage, you’ll have a wondeful record of events and emotions as they unfold on the special day.
04 – AFTER YOUR SESSION
I will hand edit the very best images from your gallery. Any unflattering or less than perfect images will not make the cut.
Within 2-4 weeks you’ll recieve a link to your gallery. You can view a beautful slideshow of the highlights and then all the edited images from your session.
This is when you decide which collecton youd like to purchase, if you havent already. Once you’ve chosen the entire shop will open and you can purchase add ons such as prints, albums and frames.
